What Happened to Summer?

I meant to blog over the summer, really I did...

We didn't go much of anywhere, but we sure had a lot of fun around home.  These kids are wearing me out lately.  Harlie never stops talking and is starting school in a few days (K4).  Jordan is still NOT talking, and has a teacher working with her on that.  She's getting better at it every day.  Alyssa decided to start walking everywhere, and she's into even more than her sisters were.  We like to call her Jordan Junior, because she has the same mischievous attributes as her sister.  She, however, is attempting to talk earlier than either of the other girls.

Life really is a zoo here.  When I came up with the name for this blog 5 plus years ago, I never knew how fitting it would be.  I frequently get worn out, and I have a headache most nights after we put everyone to bed, but I really wouldn't trade it for any other life.

By the way, for anyone who is wondering, Mikey is home with us, and we treasure every moment we have with him.  It's good to be a family, imperfections and all.  God has blessed us far beyond my expectations, and much more than any of us deserve.

Here's a sampling of our summer:

Jordy has her own style, and it rarely involves pants...

My gorgeous little girl (please excuse the half-finished remodel, that room is done now!)

Self-timer is great, except for the chopped heads, but that's us!

Yes, this little peanut isn't so little anymore.

Camping in Autumn

We wanted to squeeze in one more camping trip for 2011, so we went to Friendship Village at the end of October.  While we were in Bedford, we went to Old Bedford Village for their Pumpkin Festival.  It was such a great trip, and the girls had a wonderful time.

This was the view right outside our camper.  Gorgeous!

My Littlest Pumpkin

Gigi and Pappy came to spend some time with us while we were at the Pumpkin Festival

Harlie painted this one all by herself!

All 5 of us!

All three girls crashed after our long exciting day!

Before we went home, we took a trip to the country store and to see the llamas, one of Harlie's favorite things to do.

Our handsome boy had a good time, too!

We didn't bring enough bread to feed them all!
