Once again I'm in the middle of a very busy time, so I don't really have time to write much. Here's what's been going on:
School started and Mike is subbing again, getting a job pretty much every day. Still nothing permanent, but we're still praying.
Harlie is becoming such a sweet, lively little girl. She loves to dance and she makes up songs about everything - she gets that from her silly mother.
Jordan is creeping along very quickly, and she's into everything. We call her "Mayhem" and sometimes "Monster" because of her attitude and mess-making skills. She really is quite pleasant most of the time, but she does have a somewhat evil side.
Both girls have been going to bed around 6:30, so we do at least have a few hours of peace in the evenings.
Spike has done his fair share of bad things, including jumping on the dining room table (that's right - all four legs and standing upright) this very morning to grab a new toy I'd told him twice he couldn't have. Guess he showed me! But he's also still a very appreciative little guy, and when I did give him a new toy last night (hence the answer no at having another new one this morning), he loved it so much he even carried it upstairs at bedtime and slept with it all night.
We are still loving being parents and yes, we are hoping for at least one more as soon as God is willing.
I'm not sure if I ever posted about it, but Mike and I have accepted a position at the church as Christian Education Director, and that's been taking up some extra time. Mike has been doing most of the work, even though I'm the one who originally wanted to apply for the job. I'm not complaining, though!
I've concluded that you can't actually accomplish items on a "to do" list as long as you have children and run a business from home. I'll have a clean and organized house when I'm in my 60s.
Harlie and Zoey's birthdays (both on Halloween) are coming up soon, and we've starting planning for them.
Good night!
